## Description

Hoops 4 Hope is a Philadelphia nonprofit organization founded in 2015 that uses basketball to bring people together and support individuals experiencing homelessness. Its league gives participants an opportunity to exercise, build connections, compete, and enjoy time with others in a positive setting. Team placements are primarily organized according to the shelters where players reside, but roster spots are open to anyone who has experienced homelessness and is interested in playing. The organization shares league schedules, standings, season information, and past champions, and it also hosts events and offers a Hoops 4 Hope shop. Community members can get involved as volunteers, helping with fundraising, donation-based services, special event planning and logistics, or game-day activities such as player registration, uniform distribution, food setup, and scorekeeping. Donations provide another way to support the organization’s work. Hoops 4 Hope promotes participation, connection, and positive activity through an accessible basketball community, while welcoming both players and volunteers to contribute to the league.
