## Description

HOPE is a research and capacity-building initiative focused on ending HIV transmission by optimizing pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) in Australia, East Asia and Southeast Asia. Established in 2021, the network brings together researchers and partner organisations to support collaboration and strengthen knowledge in HIV prevention. Its work includes capacity-building workshops, research projects, publications and presentations. The website reports that more than 120 researchers have attended its workshops, helping foster collaborations among network members. HOPE also shares project outputs and findings that have informed World Health Organization guidelines, UNAIDS reports and policy changes. Its partners include Melbourne Sexual Health Centre, the National Health and Medical Research Council, Alfred Health, Monash University, the Institute of HIV Research and Innovation, Service Workers in Group Foundation, Rainbow Sky Association of Thailand and the University of the Philippines. The initiative lists support from e-Asia for 2022–2024 and NHMRC for 2025. Through its regional research network, events and training activities, HOPE works to advance evidence and cooperation around PrEP and HIV prevention.
