## Description

Hordern House Rare Books is an internationally renowned dealership specializing in rare books, manuscripts, and paintings. Founded in 1985 by Anne McCormick and Derek McDonnell and named after their original building in Sydney's Potts Point, Hordern House now operates in the heart of Surry Hills, just minutes away from the center of Sydney. Housed in a custom-designed environment within a converted warehouse, they boast an extensive stock of rare and select material, with a focus on voyages and travels, natural history and color-plate material, paintings and voyage art, historical maps, and manuscripts. To showcase their collection, Hordern House regularly publishes catalogues, viewable online, and exhibits at antiquarian book fairs worldwide. They have also adapted to the digital antiquarian fair format since 2020. Visitors are welcome to make appointments to see their impressive collection at their location. For general inquiries or to schedule a visit, you can contact Hordern House via email at books@hordern.com or call +61 2 9356 4411.
