## Description

Horizons Therapy for Liberation is a queer-owned and operated mental health practice specializing in LGBTQIA2S+-affirming care. Founded in 2019 by Chelsea Johnson, the practice serves individuals, couples, families, and relationships across North Carolina. Based in the Research Triangle, it offers in-person therapy at its Cary, North Carolina office and teletherapy through a secure video platform, with services available throughout the state.

The practice provides individual therapy, relationship and family therapy, referral letters for people seeking gender-affirming medical support, and board-approved clinical supervision for LCMHCA clinicians. Its approach is LGBTQIA2S+, neuro-affirming, and relationship-affirming, grounded in the belief that people should be fully seen without having to explain or change who they are. Horizons also shares educational materials and connects clients with inclusive community organizations and other affirming resources. Formerly known as Horizons Marriage and Family Therapy, the practice aims to be a community resource for LGBTQIA2S+ mental health. Its team includes licensed therapists and clinicians, and prospective clients can contact the practice to ask about service availability, fees, and insurance.
