## Description

Hospice De Reggestroom is a “home-from-home” hospice serving Rijssen, Holten, Wierden, Enter and surrounding areas in the Netherlands. It provides palliative care for people with an incurable illness who are in the final months, weeks or days of life. The hospice focuses on comfort, quality of life and personal attention, welcoming each guest with their own identity, voice and story.

Care is organised in collaboration with guests’ healthcare providers. The guest’s general practitioner determines the medical policy, while professional home-care nurses provide daily medical and nursing support and are available for urgent needs. Volunteers are present during the day and night, offering practical and personal support shaped around the wishes of guests and their loved ones. ZorgAccent has been the hospice’s regular home-care partner since January 2026.

The hospice also welcomes volunteers and invites the community to support its work through donations or sponsorship. Accommodation costs €40 per day; medical and nursing care are covered separately through health insurance.
