## Description

PCD Smiles is a U.S.-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit charity dedicated to supporting people with primary ciliary dyskinesia (PCD). Funded primarily through donations, the organization’s mission is to bring encouragement to PCD patients of any age who are hospitalized or have recently returned home after a hospital stay. Its central service is a Cheer Package program: patients, families, or others can submit a request through a secure form, and supporters can contribute package items or sponsor a package. The program currently serves people in the United States and Canada.

Alongside direct support, PCD Smiles shares educational and community resources, including articles about PCD, a resource list, physiotherapy and airway-clearance ideas, and awareness content. Its activities also include the PCD Artist Project, a collaborative initiative that raises awareness and supports the Cheer Package program. People can help through donations, an Amazon wishlist, fundraising, or by shopping for themed merchandise through PCD Style and Smile E. Cove.
