## Description

The House of Charity is a burn charity center located in Houston, Texas, dedicated to providing free burn treatment to children. With a vision to develop children into healthy and productive adults, they have been serving youth and children for over two decades. The organization offers a range of programs and services to fulfill their mission. Their Surgical Treatment program offers free medical and surgical treatments to children and youth suffering from congenital, burn, and accidental deformities and disabilities. They work closely with Houston area hospitals to provide specialized care for severe burns and traumatic accidents. The Healing Home program provides housing, meals, transportation, daily activities, and counseling for convalescing children who require specialized surgical care. This includes children with severe burns, traumatic accidents, and congenital birth defects. To prevent burns and promote safety, The House of Charity has a Fire Safety and Burn Prevention Education Program. They aim to raise awareness about burn prevention, as burns are a leading cause of accidental deaths in children. In addition, they have a Disaster Relief and Recovery effort that provides relief to the indigent population in Houston and around the globe with compassion and dignity. The House of Charity also focuses on volunteer development, creating opportunities for children and young adults to get involved and make a difference. They have a volunteer registration form and welcome community engagement. To stay connected and informed about their activities, drives, and volunteer opportunities, individuals can join their mailing list. For those who wish to contact The House of Charity, their address is 10802 Sugar Hill Drive, Suite A, Houston, Texas 77042.
