Housing Families First is a brand dedicated to providing rapid rehousing and support services for families in Richmond, VA. We firmly believe that every family deserves a home, which is why we strive to make a difference in our community. Our mission is to offer families facing homelessness the opportunity to establish a lasting legacy by providing a pathway to a permanent home.

Our vision is to create a Richmond region where all children and their families have a safe place to call home. To achieve our goals, Housing Families First operates three core programs. The Hilliard House Shelter offers immediate housing for those in need, while our Building Neighbors Rapid Re-Housing program provides support to help families transition into a permanent home.

We also collaborate with Henrico County, Chesterfield County, and Richmond City Public Schools through our Bringing Families Home partnership program. We greatly appreciate donations of money, time, services, or goods. Your support enables us to positively impact the lives of families right here in Richmond on a daily basis.
