## Description

Howl & Roar Records is a woman-led, Juno Award-winning comedy record label founded in 2018 by comedian and radio host Allison Dore. The label helps comedians create and distribute professional-quality comedy albums, combining practical production knowledge with guidance and support for artists. Its mission is to amplify diverse voices and perspectives while encouraging performers to express themselves and work beyond conventional industry standards. Howl & Roar gives priority to women, BIPOC, and queer artists, and has recorded albums across North America since its first release with Kate Davis. The team includes founder Allison Dore, second-in-command Melanie Dahling, and audio engineers who contribute to the recording process. Dahling is also a comedian and performer whose album Greetings From the Big City was named among the best of 2023 by the Toronto Star. Through its artist-focused approach, Howl & Roar offers comedians a supportive path from creative development to finished recordings, helping bring distinctive comedy work to audiences.
