Howling Bluff Winery: Crafting Memorable Wines on the Naramata Bench At Howling Bluff Winery, our passion for winemaking runs deep. Founded in 2003 on a fallow piece of land on the serene Naramata Bench, our vineyard has since become one of Canada's most exciting and renowned wine producers, garnering global recognition. Luke Smith, the visionary behind Howling Bluff, embarked on his wine journey at a young age, influenced by his mother's involvement in the International Wine and Food Society.

Together with Craig Walker, his like-minded colleague, Luke dreamed of creating vineyards in Napa and indulging in evenings filled with gastronomic delights. Supported by Jennifer, Luke's partner and the real brains behind Howling Bluff, our winery thrives. Jennifer, an RN at Penticton Regional Hospital, tirelessly supports the business while raising their four children.

Daniel, the family's Fort maker, contributed to the creation of our most coveted wine after a robust discussion with Luke. As a family-owned and operated winery, we take immense pride in our accomplishments. Our three youngest children, Kyle, Keara, and Maiya, are pursuing their dreams in Law, Science, and Education respectively.
