## Description

The Human Rights Foundation (HRF) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting human rights and advancing freedom and democracy around the world. It focuses on challenging authoritarianism, which it identifies as a cause of poverty, war, and torture, and supports people working on the frontlines of the struggle for freedom. HRF’s work includes campaigns, original research into human rights abuses, reports, publications, and advocacy on behalf of dissidents and political prisoners. It also develops resources for activists and nonprofit organizations, including guides on artificial intelligence and financial freedom, and provides grants to freedom technology projects. Through events such as the Oslo Freedom Forum, HRF brings together human rights activists and other changemakers for global dialogue. Its media offerings include podcasts and interview series examining dictatorship and authoritarianism. The foundation also publishes analysis of political developments and tracks political freedom across countries and territories through its Tyranny Tracker. HRF shares its work through news, research, events, and opportunities to take action or donate.
