## Description

The Health Service Commission (HSC) is a Zimbabwean public institution established under the Health Service Amendment Act of 2022. It supports the administration of the Health Service and the conditions of service for its members, and provides for the transfer of public health service personnel into the Health Service. Led by a Chairperson, Deputy Chairperson and Commissioners, the Commission is supported by a Secretariat headed by a Secretary.

HSC’s work focuses on helping build an inclusive health delivery system through a competent and motivated workforce. Its departments cover human resources, conditions of service, finance and administration, monitoring and evaluation, and performance improvement and development. Supporting units handle public relations, legal matters, information technology, corporate services, discipline, audit and procurement. The Commission also has finance, human resources and audit committees.
