The Humane Society of Greater Kansas City, based in Kansas City, KS, has been faithfully serving lost, abandoned, and broken pets in the area for over 100 years. Our mission is to improve and save the lives of dogs and cats throughout the Greater Kansas City community. We achieve this through various services such as preventative veterinary care, spay/neuter services, education, and adoptions.

In fact, we became the first no-kill shelter in the KC area in 1994. Our affordable spay/neuter and veterinary care clinic is crucial in saving and enhancing the lives of thousands of animals each year. We provide much-needed care and services for the animals in our community.

Located on ten acres, our 10,000 square feet facility allows us to expand our services and cater to the growing needs of the community. Apart from veterinary and spay/neuter services, we also specialize in adoptions. We take great care in matching animals with adopters based on lifestyles and the needs of the animals.

All animals are up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and spayed or neutered. We also offer a seven-day trial period with all adoptions to ensure a lifelong bond between you and your new furry friend.
