HTGAA, or How to Grow (Almost) Anything, is an inspiring initiative rooted in the MIT Media Lab's pioneering spirit of innovation. The program aims to democratize access to synthetic biology and bioengineering knowledge for enthusiasts around the globe. At the heart of HTGAA is a comprehensive online course designed to empower participants from diverse backgrounds with cutting-edge skills and principles in bioengineering.

Offered annually, this course is available for free to a global audience, attracting thousands of students from 60-80 countries, including high schoolers and retirees alike. Complementing the online experience is a network of community biolabs, known as Nodes, that provide local hands-on training and support.
