## Description

Huia Master Swimmers Club is an adult swimming club based at Huia Pool in Lower Hutt, New Zealand. Founded in 1982, the incorporated club welcomes swimmers with varied abilities and aims, bringing people together for fitness, fellowship and fun. Members meet on Sunday evenings for a dedicated one-hour session, with the club hiring the whole pool to provide uncrowded space. Swimmers can follow their own programme or ask another member to prepare one, and the club can arrange stroke correction and coaching with a qualified local swim coach.

Membership includes pool entry and access to club nights and activities. Prospective members are invited to try up to three sessions before joining. Social members can take part in club activities and non-sanctioned meets; swimmers who want to compete in New Zealand Masters-sanctioned events can choose full New Zealand Masters membership. Members also pursue goals such as fitness, triathlons, ocean swims and Ironman events, and may participate in local and regional swim meets.
