Humane Society of Charlotte

The Humane Society of Charlotte is a private, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that is dedicated to improving our community by creating loving families and working towards a world where all animals have homes. We offer a wide range of programs and services to support animals and their human companions. Our no-kill philosophy ensures that no healthy, treatable, behaviorally sound animal is euthanized.

Instead, we focus on prevention, retention, placement, and education to find loving homes for every animal in need. Our live release rate is an impressive 99. 9%, demonstrating our commitment to saving lives.

At the Humane Society of Charlotte, we offer pet adoption services for both cats and dogs, as well as dog training, lost and found pet assistance, and a pet wellness clinic. We also provide resources such as pet crisis support, a pet food bank, and assistance with pet-friendly housing. Our spay/neuter surgery services, stray cat services, and records request services help ensure the wellbeing of animals in our community.

We rely on the support of animal lovers, grants, bequests, and fees for service to fund our mission. As a result, we are not affiliated with any other animal welfare organizations and do not receive government funding.
