## Description

The Erie Humane Society is an independent, 501(c)3 nonprofit animal shelter in Erie, Pennsylvania. With a commitment to no-kill standards, their mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome pets in need. Established in 1892, the organization has a long history of compassion and care for animals. The shelter provides a range of services for its resident pets, including shelter, feeding, veterinary care, spaying and neutering, vaccinations, grooming, temperament testing, kennel maintenance, and cruelty prevention. They believe in rehabilitating the whole pet, addressing their behavioral, medical, and emotional needs. Through their efforts, animals have the opportunity to start a fresh chapter while waiting for their forever homes. The Erie Humane Society takes pride in matching pets with loving families. They offer responsible adoption services, conducting thorough application processes, home visits, and providing additional training services and counseling. Their goal is to ensure that every pet finds a caring and suitable home. The organization relies on community support to continue their important work. It is through the kindness and generosity of the community that they can provide the best care possible to the animals in their care.
