## Description

Humanitaire MBoro is an association working in health, education and culture in Mboro, Senegal. Based in Toulouse, France, it supports people in the community through practical services and ongoing programs, with a particular focus on children who are deaf or hard of hearing. Since 2009, the association has provided hearing aids and follow-up care. It also runs a solidarity optical shop, established in 2013, and offers speech therapy for children with hearing loss and people served by the Rokku mi Rokka facility for individuals with multiple disabilities. In education, Humanitaire MBoro created the YAKAAR school in 2019, described as Senegal’s only free school for deaf children; it serves more than 30 children. The association’s cultural and physical education activities include music, drawing, singing, dance, sign singing, motor skills classes and year-round handball. It also organizes events and invites individuals and businesses to support its work through donations, sponsorship, membership and partnerships. Humanitaire MBoro brings health, learning and creative opportunities together to foster inclusion in Mboro.
