## Description

Human Nature is a community-focused organization working to help neighbors care for the urban natural world and the people who live in it. It supports community-based organizations, local governments, and local businesses in building sustainable, resilient neighborhoods through nature-based education, tree planting, garden support, and community building. Its work centers on connecting people with practical ways to improve and activate shared outdoor spaces.

Through its Community Forestry program, Human Nature plants more than 100 trees each year in areas affected by historic environmental neglect. It also offers replacement trees and guidance to program participants, helping residents choose trees suited to their yards, including shade, fruit, and ornamental varieties. Neighbor Night is a free monthly dinner and social gathering, held on the first Thursday of each month, where guests hear from experts on sustainability and environmental health. Garden Connect helps communities shape gardens as welcoming spaces that support people, wildlife, and agriculture.
