# XAYA

- **Website:** <https://huntercoin.org>
- **Primary alias:** `huntercoin.org`

## Description

Xaya is an open-source blockchain gaming platform designed to let developers build fully decentralized games without relying on central servers. Licensed under MIT, the platform builds on ideas first tested by Huntercoin, an experimental project launched in February 2014. Huntercoin pioneered “human mining,” allowing players to collect cryptocurrency through gameplay in a virtual world running on a blockchain. Its experience and technology helped lay the groundwork for Xaya’s broader blockchain gaming infrastructure.

Xaya emphasizes true ownership of in-game assets and provably fair gameplay, with game moves and transactions secured and recorded on the blockchain. Its website provides tools and resources for developers, including name and registration tools, as well as access to development information, statistics, and project resources. Visitors can also explore Huntercoin’s history, technical features, and legacy, alongside links to GitHub and Discord support.

Huntercoin remains operational but is in a limited support phase, with development having moved to Xaya.
