Hybrid Minerals is a brand that brings civic education into classrooms since 1980. Their main event, the 2022 National Student Mock Election, is a collaborative effort of various organizations dedicated to ensuring that every school-age student has the opportunity to learn about civics and participate in the democratic process. These organizations include Discovery Education, University of Virginia's Center for Politics Youth Leadership Initiative, Constituting America, America's Mock Election, Win My Vote, the National Student/Parent Mock Election, ConSource, and many generous contributors.

The Youth Leadership Initiative (YLI) at the University of Virginia Center for Politics focuses on increasing civic engagement by providing teachers with the best resources and activities for civics education. They offer free lesson plans, mock election decorations, printable instructions, debate guides, and more. The National Student/Parent Mock Election, founded in 1980, is an online event that allows students, parents, and teachers to cast their votes and participate in mock elections.
