## Description

Hyderi Islamic Centre, located in Croydon, UK, is a dynamic organization established in 1983 to serve the Shia Muslim community, particularly the Khoja families from East Africa. Initially rooted in fellowship, Hyderi has evolved into a vital part of the local community, promoting the peaceful and cohesive values of Islam. The centre offers a variety of religious and educational services, including daily prayers, weekly supplications, and regular lectures. Hyderi also hosts special events throughout the year, celebrating significant Islamic occasions and fostering interfaith dialogue. The Hyderi Nursery provides quality childcare for children under five, while the Hyderi Islamic School, a pioneer in Islamic education in the UK, caters to older children with a curriculum that includes GCSE and A-level qualifications in Islamic Studies. Additionally, the Hyderi Senior Citizens’ Association organizes weekly health talks and excursions, and sports teams engage in national and international competitions. As a registered charity, Hyderi Islamic Centre remains committed to serving its community and enhancing social harmony.
