## Description

HYDROGENi is a Norwegian research and innovation centre focused on hydrogen and ammonia as clean energy carriers. Managed by SINTEF Energy Research, the centre brings together 46 partners from research and industry and is funded by the Norwegian government through the Research Council of Norway’s Centres for Environment-friendly Energy Research programme. Its work supports the ambitions of the Norwegian hydrogen roadmap for 2030 and 2050, exploring how hydrogen and ammonia can help replace fossil fuels in industrial processes and transport, store energy and generate power.

The centre’s research spans cost-effective, scalable hydrogen production; transport and storage; industrial and maritime end-use technologies; and safety and material integrity. It also works to enable a sustainable hydrogen economy through collaborative research, innovation and knowledge sharing. HYDROGENi shares research results, news, events, user cases and annual reports, and supports education, including PhD research. Its activities are intended to advance the knowledge and innovations needed to develop hydrogen and ammonia applications and contribute to a net-zero future. The centre’s programme runs from 2022 to 2030.
