Hyland Hills Parks & Recreation District, established in 1955, is one of the first park and recreation districts in the State of Colorado. Serving nearly 130,000 residents in a 24 square mile area, including parts of Westminster, Arvada, Northglenn, Thornton, and unincorporated Adams County, as well as the entire City of Federal Heights, Hyland Hills aims to enhance the quality of life for its residents and the surrounding community. With its vision to provide an improved quality of life, the district offers first-class parks, open spaces, facilities, and recreation programs.
Their world-class facilities include Water World, the largest family waterpark in America, the Greg Mastriona Golf Courses at Hyland Hills, the Ice Centre at the Promenade, Adventure Golf and Raceway, and the Donald E. VanArsdale Gymnastics Center. Additionally, Hyland Hills maintains 16 parks, 24 sports fields, 2 community centers, swimming pools, tennis courts, a disc golf course, a skate park, sand volleyball courts, and pickleball courts.
They offer a wide variety of sports and recreational programs, swimming lessons, sports leagues, cultural art programs, and much more, all at affordable prices. The Hyland Hills Foundation also provides scholarships to ensure that children in the district can participate in activities regardless of financial constraints.
