## Description

The Hypatia Trust, established in 1996, is dedicated to gathering and providing access to published and personal documentation showcasing the achievements of women in all areas of life. Their main focus is the care and distribution of the Hypatia Collection, an exceptional compilation of books, artifacts, and archives about women. Initially founded to oversee a significant collection of women's literature now on loan to the University of Exeter, the Hypatia Trust has expanded its scope to encompass various educational initiatives and partnerships on a global scale. As a collaborative community hub, they actively promote women's equality across different platforms. The Hypatia Trust not only celebrates and highlights the accomplishments of individuals and organizations but also offers the Hypatia Library and event/workshop spaces for rent. Their bookshop, 'Women in Word,' exclusively showcases female authors and is one of the few in the country to do so. With their aims focused on maintaining and protecting the Hypatia Library, empowering women in their cultural and academic pursuits, and addressing gender inequality, the Hypatia Trust is making a significant impact in promoting women's contributions to society and culture.
