HyWin is a brand that specializes in compact Double Skin Glass Facades with integrated sunshield, cooling, and heating functions. Their innovative Glass Facade Solution offers a sustainable and efficient solution to the technical problems faced by modern glass buildings. By combining HyWin with geothermal probes in an area development, the energy gained from cooling in the summer can be used for heating in the winter, maximizing energy efficiency.

With substantial support from the Swiss Climate Foundation, HyWin has designed and built a pilot unit for testing. The system, located in Rifferswil between Zurich and Zug, is undergoing intensive testing under varying climatic conditions. The HyWin system utilizes a compact air-to-water heat exchanger and a vertical airflow to regulate the temperature inside the cavity based on sun radiation, heat sources, and outside temperature.

The closed cavity, kept at room temperature, isolates the room from the climate and allows for dust-free air exchange. HyWin-equipped offices typically do not require additional heating or cooling, as the system provides soft room cooling and mild room heating. The system also solves the issue of cold radiation in winter and warm radiation in summer, providing a comfortable climate near the window.

There is no condensation risk, eliminating the need for dry air supply. The system is sustainable, with the energy collected from the HyWin facade being utilized for heating in colder periods.
