## Description

The Croatian Emergency Medical Service, known as HZHM, serves as a public health institution focused on providing essential emergency medical services and telemedicine across Croatia. Committed to principles of accessibility and holistic care, HZHM ensures timely medical response through various services such as out-of-hospital emergency medical service, hospital emergency care, and specialized units including maritime and helicopter-based emergency services.

In addition to urgent care, HZHM promotes telemedicine through its innovative platform, offering services like teleradiology, telecardiology, and telepsychiatry. To support continuous professional development, HZHM organizes educational initiatives, including online training for primary healthcare providers, focusing on critical areas such as sepsis management and pediatric emergencies.

With a commitment to excellence, HZHM is actively engaged in implementing projects that enhance emergency care, including the acquisition of fully equipped medical transport vehicles and a national defibrillation program aimed at saving lives. As a leader in emergency medical care, HZHM plays a crucial role in the healthcare system of Croatia.
