Katalis is a unique, government-backed business development program that aims to unlock the vast economic potential of the partnership between Australia and Indonesia. Established under the Indonesia-Australia Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement Economic Cooperation Program (IA-CEPA ECP), Katalis is a five-year program that complements existing Australian development activities with a commercially oriented approach. The goal of Katalis is to maximize the benefits of the IA-CEPA for both Indonesia and Australia by improving market access, increasing two-way trade and investment, and promoting inclusive economic growth in Indonesia. They work with partners from various industries such as agrifood, engineering, energy services, health, and aged care. Katalis focuses on developing new market opportunities, inspiring business partnerships, sharing market insights, building skills and knowledge, providing technical advice, and supporting policy reform. They strive to create greater market access for businesses in both Indonesia and Australia, integrate markets, and build high-performance labor market skills. Their values include collaboration, creativity, resourcefulness, diversity, and optimism. Katalis is an initiative of the Australian and Indonesian governments, implemented by DT Global in collaboration with Equity Economics, EY, and AsiaLink. They are overseen by the Economic Cooperation Committee (ECC) and supported by various government departments.
