## Description

The IAFF Foundation is a nonprofit organization that supports International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF) fire fighters, emergency medical workers, and their families. Its mission is to help those who help others by providing resources when members face injury, illness, trauma, or disaster, and by honoring those who die in the line of duty.

The Foundation supports occupational cancer research, education, patient assistance, treatment, and recovery. It also provides behavioral health education, peer support after traumatic events, and access to support through the IAFF Center of Excellence for Behavioral Health Treatment and Recovery. Members whose homes are destroyed or severely damaged by disasters can receive immediate financial assistance and other resources.

For burn survivors, the Foundation supports research, hospital burn centers, prevention and education initiatives, and injured members. It also hosts an annual International Burn Camp in Washington, D.C., for survivors ages 13 to 15. The Foundation honors fallen members through the IAFF Fallen Fire Fighter Memorial and offers the W.H.
