The International Association of Law Enforcement Intelligence Analysts (IALEIA) is a nonprofit professional organization dedicated to advancing excellence in law enforcement intelligence analysis. Founded in 1981, it represents more than 4,000 analysts in over 50 countries, including professionals from public agencies and private-sector industries, as well as supporting academic institutions and corporations. IALEIA promotes recognition of intelligence analysis as a profession, develops competency and training standards, supports research, and shares analytical methods and practices. Its services include individual and organizational memberships, regional chapters, a mentoring program, career resources, scholarships, awards, and member communication forums. The association offers training in intelligence analysis and ArcGIS, webinars through its partnership with Justice Clearinghouse, and an annual training event. IALEIA also provides a certification program, including the Certified Intelligence Analyst credential and a Basic Analyst Classification, with preparation resources and recertification options. Members and visitors can access professional publications, intelligence standards, a research library, and an online store. Through these programs and resources, IALEIA supports professional development and community among analysts worldwide.
