## Description

The International Association for Mathematical Geosciences (IAMG) is a scientific organization serving an international community of mathematicians, statisticians, computer scientists, geoinformaticians, and earth scientists. Its mission is to advance mathematics, statistics, and informatics in the geosciences worldwide. The association welcomes geoscientists, statisticians, interested individuals, and organizations, and promotes diversity, inclusion, fairness, impartiality, and democracy in science.

IAMG supports its field through conferences and other meetings, publications, and educational opportunities. Its publishing activities include IAMG journals, the Encyclopedia of Mathematical Geosciences, a newsletter, and the SMG Monograph Series. Members can access news and events, receive invitations to mathematical geosciences conferences, and read and review publications. The association also provides opportunities for students and early-career researchers, including student chapters, research grants, and travel grants, and recognizes contributions through awards and honours. Online lecture recordings and webinars further share knowledge across the community. Through these programs, IAMG connects specialists and encourages collaboration in mathematical geosciences while working to make the scientific community more inclusive and supportive.
