## Description

IA Professional is a vital resource dedicated to supporting general practitioners and primary care professionals in managing the unique needs of patients with stomas, particularly those who have undergone ileostomy or internal pouch surgeries. Established as a national charity in 1956, IA Professional builds a strong peer-to-peer support network across the UK and Ireland, offering valuable educational materials designed to enhance患者 understanding of their conditions and surgical options.

The platform features an array of informative videos and downloadable documentation, enabling healthcare professionals to offer patients comprehensive guidance. This ensures patients are well-informed about their choices, whether considering a permanent stoma or contemplating a reversal/internal pouch procedure. IA Professional also provides personalized One2One Support where patients can connect with qualified Support Volunteers who have undergone specialized training.
