## Description

The Insurance Association of Sri Lanka (IASL) is a pivotal body in the insurance industry of Sri Lanka, established in 1989 with the collaboration of the two state insurance corporations and three private insurance companies. Currently, IASL represents 29 registered insurance companies in the country. The association's Executive Committee, comprising CEOs of insurance firms, convenes monthly to address industry-related matters. Furthermore, various sub-committees operate under the Executive Committee to facilitate cooperation, knowledge exchange, and best practice sharing among industry peers. IASL aims to promote uniform and ethical practices, build public confidence in insurance, and advocate for professionalism through education and training. This esteemed association plays a crucial role in monitoring legislative and regulatory requirements, ensuring industry stability and growth while fostering consultation and cooperation among members for the welfare of both insurers and the insuring public.
