# International Alliance for Women in Music - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `iawm.org` ## Description The International Alliance for Women in Music (IAWM) is a pioneering organization dedicated to promoting equity, advocacy, and visibility for women in the music industry. Established in 1995, IAWM comprises over 400 members from 28 countries, spanning various musical disciplines including composition, performance, and musicology. The organization serves as a vital resource, offering a range of programs such as the annual Search for New Music competition, the Pauline Alderman Award for scholarly works, and educational grants for music teachers. IAWM champions the increased programming of music by women composers and strives to combat discrimination within the industry. Through the publication of a quarterly journal hosting research and news on women's contributions to music, as well as networking opportunities and global concerts, IAWM fosters an inclusive environment for collaboration and creativity. Committed to diversity and inclusion, IAWM aims to reshape the musical landscape, ensuring that women's voices and talents are recognized and celebrated across all genres and cultural contexts. ## Industries - 🍿 Arts and Entertainment - 🍿 Music _(under Arts and Entertainment)_ ## Links - [linkedin](https://linkedin.com/company/international-alliance-for-women-in-music-inc-iawm) - [facebook](https://facebook.com/IAWMusic) - [instagram](https://instagram.com/iawmcommunity) ## Logos & icons - logo _(primary)_ — PNG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/idPmD9qz2h/w/1147/h/346/theme/dark/logo.png?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1788752266062) - icon _(primary)_ — PNG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/idPmD9qz2h/w/576/h/576/theme/dark/icon.png?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1788752266191) ## Colors | Name | Hex | Theme | | --- | --- | --- | | Disco | #9f1f63 | accent | | Antique Brass | #cc8d66 | light | | Mine Shaft | #333333 | dark | ## Fonts - Roboto — asset _(google)_ - Open Sans — asset _(google)_ --- _Source: _ _See [/llms.txt](/llms.txt) for a full list of agent-readable pages, and [/auth.md](/auth.md) for how agents authenticate._
