## Description

**Brand Description**

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is Nigeria’s leading agency tasked with combating financial crimes and corruption in the banking sector. Established to ensure accountability and transparency, the EFCC plays a crucial role in safeguarding economic integrity, as highlighted by its recent findings indicating that approximately 70% of financial crimes stem from banking activities. Under the leadership of Chairman Ola Olukoyede, the agency emphasizes the need for collaboration among banking professionals, particularly audit executives, to tackle fraudulent practices, which range from internal misconduct to external cyber threats. The EFCC actively engages in raising awareness, conducting audits, and enforcing regulations to deter fraud and protect consumers. By addressing both insider and outsider-related fraud, the EFCC aims to restore trust in Nigeria's financial institutions and foster a more secure banking environment while promoting greater compliance among industry stakeholders. Through ongoing initiatives, the commission remains steadfast in its commitment to defeating corruption, ensuring safe banking practices, and ultimately upholding the economic well-being of the nation.
