## Description

Ikatan Bidan Indonesia (IBI) Kota Sorong is the official Sorong City branch of Indonesia’s professional association for midwives. It brings together midwives and supports the development of their professional skills, practice standards, and ethical responsibilities, with the broader aim of contributing to better maternal and child health across Indonesia. The branch is part of IBI’s nationwide network of regional and local organizations.

IBI’s activities include professional education and training, scientific meetings, research, and organizational events such as conferences and leadership appointments. Its website shares announcements, news, agendas, and photo galleries, including information about training programs and the association’s work on issues affecting midwives. IBI also advocates for its members, including addressing professional recognition and opportunities for midwives in healthcare settings. Through these resources and activities, the organization connects members, encourages continued learning, and represents midwives’ interests. The Kota Sorong branch is based in Sorong Utara, Papua Barat Daya, and provides a local point of connection within the wider Ikatan Bidan Indonesia network.
