## Description

The Nesbitt/Nisbet Society of North America, founded in 1981 by Professor John Nesbitt, is dedicated to the genealogy and heritage of the Nesbitt and Nisbet families. With roots tracing back to various spellings like Nesebyt and Nisbet, the Society plays a vital role in preserving and promoting the history and cultural significance of these families. Members benefit from resources such as the quarterly newsletter, "I Byde It Times," which includes engaging content on heritage and genealogy.

The Society encourages active participation through events, including highland games and an annual gathering, fostering connections among members and promoting community engagement. In addition to genealogical research and Y-DNA projects, the Society provides educational resources to help individuals explore their ancestry. The N/N Society is committed to embracing all members, regardless of their regional affiliations, with a global membership that extends to Europe. By joining, members can discover their lineage, connect with their roots, and support the preservation of their N/N heritage.
