# ICANS - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `icans.eu` ## Description ICANS, the Institut de cancérologie Strasbourg Europe, is a cancer-care site in Strasbourg that has served patients through a partnership involving the Centre de Lutte contre le Cancer Paul Strauss and the Strasbourg University Hospitals. The legal closure of the ICANS Groupement de Coopération Sanitaire marks a transition to a new arrangement for public cancer care in the region. From 1 January 2026, the two institutions provide separate public oncology care services: the Centre Paul Strauss, now called Institut Strauss, and the Hôpitaux Universitaires de Strasbourg each have their own care offering and organisation.
