## Description

ICCF, or the International Correspondence Chess Federation, has been a cornerstone of the correspondence chess community since its founding in 1951. Evolving from the earlier International Correspondence Chess Association (ICCA), which traces its roots back to 1945, ICCF continues to uphold the traditions and competitive spirit of chess played via correspondence. The federation oversees a variety of services and resources for chess enthusiasts, including live games, tournament management, and detailed rankings through its ICCF Ratings system. ICCF is also dedicated to fostering international collaboration among member federations and hosts significant events, congresses, and exhibitions, such as the ICCF Congress and Hall of Fame. The organization provides comprehensive resources like the Endgame Tablebases and extensive rules governing gameplay. Additionally, ICCF enhances the player experience with support through the ICCF Helpdesk, ensuring that chess players worldwide can engage with this strategic game at any level.
