## Description

ICCWtE, the International Consultant Committee of Waste to Energy, is an international, nonprofit committee of professors, researchers, and engineers from developed and developing countries. Initiated by Zhejiang University and supported by a local working committee, it draws on members’ expertise to offer voluntary consultancy to developing countries seeking to improve municipal solid waste management through waste-to-energy (WtE) approaches.

The committee aims to share international experience, strengthen solid-waste treatment capabilities, and help reduce environmental pollution. Its activities include academic exchanges, training workshops and technical lectures, alongside the dissemination of scientific and technological knowledge. ICCWtE also provides guidance on WtE plant standards and regulations and builds educational and academic connections between developed and developing countries. Its programs include an Asia symposium and training initiatives; the site also lists scholarship and postgraduate-program information. The organization is led by a rotating chair, vice chairs, and a secretary-general, with a country contact person in each participating nation. Its board includes experts affiliated with universities and research institutions across Asia and Europe.
