Interfaith Community for Detained Immigrants (ICDI) is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing transit assistance, housing, and comprehensive care for asylum seekers. We also passionately advocate for justice and dignity for immigrants at the local, state, and national levels. Our mission is to create a just society by championing an end to detention and other unjust immigration policies.
We believe that everyone, regardless of their national origin, deserves basic human rights such as livelihood, family unity, self-determination, and physical and emotional safety. At ICDI, we uphold essential values including self-determination for all individuals, effective solidarity through compassionate collaboration, and systemic justice based on equity and inclusion. Located at 303 East Wacker Drive in Chicago, ICDI works tirelessly to support immigrants and their families, offering vital services and fighting for their rights.
