## Description

As one of the leading research and development institutions in Romania, ICECHIM, the National Institute for Research and Development in Chemistry and Petrochemistry, is dedicated to scientific research and technological development within the chemical and petrochemical industries. Our work encompasses a wide variety of fields, including the development of new bio(nano)technologies and bio(nano)products for the sustainable utilization of bioresources, intelligent polymeric materials and nanomaterials, as well as the establishment and design of emerging technologies, with the goal of ensuring global economic competitiveness.

Our institute has a rich history dating back to 1948 and is at the forefront of scientific advancement, fueled by a mission to deepen our understanding of reaction mechanisms, chemical kinetics, electrochemistry, and more. We offer a range of services, including technology transfer, analytical testing, consultancy, and professional training, all of which contribute to our commitment to sustainability, innovation, and excellence. With a focus on open science and community engagement, we host accredited scientific events to promote collaboration among researchers, decision-makers, and local businesses. ICECHIM is proud to be under the coordination of the Romanian Ministry of Research, Innovation, and Digitalization, in line with the HG 371/2021.
