About

Description

ICL Group, also known as Israel Chemicals Ltd., is an Israeli multinational chemical company. The company's headquarters are located in Tel Aviv, Israel. ICL Group has a rich history that dates back to the establishment of its predecessor, the British Mandate company Palestine Potash Ltd., in 1930.

In 1947, after the creation of the State of Israel, the company was renamed Dead Sea Works, and it focused on extracting minerals from the Dead Sea. In 1992, Dead Sea Works merged with another Israeli chemical company, Dead Sea Bromine, to form the Israel Chemicals Corporation. In 2012, the company changed its name to ICL Group.

ICL Group is primarily engaged in the production and distribution of a wide range of products in four main segments: Fertilizers, Industrial Products, Performance Products, and Potash. The company's products include phosphate fertilizers, potash, bromine compounds, flame retardants, and specialty chemicals. Operating on a global scale, ICL Group has subsidiaries, joint ventures, and partnerships across the world.

Notable subsidiaries include Allana Potash in Ethiopia, ICL Europe in the Netherlands, and ICL Specialty Fertilizers in Germany. The company has joint ventures with companies such as Migao Corporation in China and SQM in Chile. In terms of market position, ICL Group is a global leader in fertilizers and specialty chemicals.

It is one of the largest producers of potash and the sixth-largest phosphate producer globally. The company has a strong presence in Europe, Asia, and the Americas. ICL Group has achieved significant milestones in its growth journey.

In 2019, the company acquired a US-based leading animal nutrition and health company, Cargill's Global Phosphate Business. This acquisition expanded ICL's presence in the growing animal nutrition market. Currently, ICL Group continues to be a major player in the global chemicals industry.

It focuses on innovation and sustainability to meet the evolving needs of its customers worldwide. The latest updates and key information about the company's developments can be found on its official website or through financial reports
