## Description

The International Congress on Obesity (ICO) is a global scientific congress focused on advancing understanding, prevention, and management of obesity. Established in 1974, it is the flagship event of the World Obesity Federation, the only global organisation focused exclusively on obesity. The Federation brings together organisations and stakeholders across countries and income levels, including researchers, healthcare professionals, policymakers, advocates, patients, and people with lived experience. ICO 2026 will take place July 15–17 at the World Trade Center Mexico City, in collaboration with the Mexican Society of Obesity. Its three-day programme will feature scientific sessions, oral and poster presentations, and an exhibition, with contributions spanning clinical research, basic science, and public health. The congress offers opportunities to explore current research, learn about prevention and treatment strategies, hear from international specialists, and build professional connections and global collaborations. Pre-congress events are scheduled for July 14.
