## Description

Iconicarchive is a specialized photographic archive founded by Othmar Jaeggi, focusing on the interplay of archaeology, culture, and travel, primarily centered around Basel, Switzerland. This private project serves as an invaluable resource for research and education, featuring a collection that aims to grow to over 20,000 images. The archive is divided into thematic sections that explore archaeological sites, travels, and museum objects, while a fourth section under development will highlight images with personal significance.

The database is designed to facilitate seamless image retrieval with quick keyword searching and an organized tree structure reflecting the image file system. The team behind Iconicarchive includes distinguished classical archaeologists and experienced developers, ensuring that the site remains a modern, stable, and secure platform for users interested in archaeology and cultural heritage.
