ICPerMed, the International Consortium for Personalised Medicine, is a leading platform that facilitates communication, exchange, and collaboration on personalised medicine research, funding, and implementation. With a global network of participants, ICPerMed effectively maps the scientific and political landscape, enabling the alignment of research and funding activities at the European and international levels. The consortium's main goal is to develop future research actions by leveraging ongoing efforts and identifying the necessary infrastructures, resources, and regulatory procedures to advance the development and implementation of personalised medicine.

By doing so, ICPerMed contributes to the integration of personalised medicine approaches into healthcare systems for the benefit of patients, citizens, and society as a whole. ICPerMed operates on a flexible framework of cooperation among member organisations, including public and private health research funding and policy organisations, with increasing participation from organizations beyond Europe. The consortium was initiated in 2016, building upon the insights and achievements of the previous PerMed project.

Its collaborative structure ensures comprehensive coverage of all aspects of personalised medicine, supporting research from basic research to clinical implementation, patient empowerment, market access, and healthcare systems. The result of ICPerMed members' efforts is the publication of the ICPerMed Action Plan, which defines actionable research items to serve as the basis for funding programs at various levels, facilitating collaborative decision-making and concerted action in the field of personalised medicine
