The Institute of Cetacean Research (ICR) is a Japanese general incorporated foundation and designated cetacean scientific research organization. Its purpose is to conduct research and investigations on whales and other marine mammals, examine related international developments, and contribute to the appropriate management and use of fisheries resources.
