## Description

ICT-AGRI-FOOD is a pioneering initiative funded by the European Union's Horizon 2020 program, dedicated to advancing sustainable food systems through innovative ICT solutions. Launched in 2009, this collaborative project aims to integrate smart digital technologies across the entire agri-food chain, enhancing the health of humans, animals, and plants at every production stage. With a vision to create resilient and secure European food systems, ICT-AGRI-FOOD brings together a diverse consortium of partners who work collectively on transnational research projects.

The initiative encompasses several work packages focusing on areas such as precision farming, ICT, and robotics within agriculture. By organizing joint calls for research and pooling resources from participating countries, ICT-AGRI-FOOD strives to improve research efficiency and effectiveness in addressing the challenges of food production. Through its commitment to fostering technological advancements, ICT-AGRI-FOOD is not only boosting competitiveness in the agri-food sector but also contributing to the broader goals of sustainable development in Europe.
