## Description

sgID is a pioneering National Digital Identity initiative designed to enhance the digital experience for Singaporeans by facilitating secure identity authentication and data sharing for applications. By integrating sgID, developers can seamlessly access government-verified information through the Singpass and MyInfo platforms, allowing end-users to authenticate their identities quickly and securely. With over 4 million users of the Singpass mobile app, sgID leverages familiar tools for user consent and data verification.

The integration process is straightforward: developers can create applications via a developer portal, enabling quick SDK or API integration without any associated costs. sgID prioritizes privacy, employing end-to-end encryption for all user exchanges and offering derived data fields to minimize unnecessary exposure of sensitive information. This innovative platform not only streamlines user verification but also enhances data security, making it an essential tool for businesses aiming to improve user trust and data management. Overall, sgID empowers developers to create trusted digital experiences throughout Singapore.
