## Description

The Idries Shah Foundation is a British charity established in 2014, dedicated to transforming how we perceive ourselves and the world through storytelling. Drawing from the extensive work of Idries Shah, a renowned writer and thinker, the foundation re-publishes his influential works on Sufism and presents a trove of traditional stories aimed at fostering flexible thinking. Prominent among these is the beloved character Nasrudin, whose humorous tales serve as playful yet profound insights into human nature.

The foundation offers free access to Shah's books, while also producing high-quality audio editions and beautifully illustrated children's storybooks in collaboration with his daughter, Safia Shah. Its commitment to cultural preservation is evident in efforts to translate essential works into several languages, including Spanish, Farsi, and Turkish, thereby safeguarding Sufi literature. Additionally, the foundation supports educational initiatives globally, providing books to displaced communities and creating the World Tales StoryBank, a repository celebrating the rich tapestry of folklore shared across cultures.
